Nasa released pictures showing activity on the Sun’s surface from the Solar Observatory Satellite, there is no sound on the video, but the pictures were incredible to see considering this:

The average distance from the Earth to the Sun is approximately, 150 million kilometers (93 million miles)

The Sun is 1,287,00 km larger that the Earth.

The Sun’s diameter is 1,392,000 km  (865,000 miles)

The Earth’s diameter is 12,742 km  (7,918 miles)

You could fit almost, 1,000,000 Earth’s into the Sun!

The Sun is the Star at the center of the Solar System, and it is White in colour, although seen from the earth it may appear yellow due to the atmospheric scattering of blue-light.
The Sun consists of Hydrogen and Helium Atoms, the hydrogen atoms combine in a process called nuclear fusion, which releases energy, creating helium atoms.

The Sun was born almost 4,500,000,000 ago (four and a half billion) and is in a constantly changing state, converting hydrogen into energy.

Scientists estimate that The Sun will remain in this main sequence for another 4.5 billion years, before it expands into a Red Giant.
