On July 8th, 1947 the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) issued a press release stating that personnel from the field's 509th Bomb Group had recovered a crashed "flying disc" from foster ranch near Roswell. The next day the story changed to a weather balloon, and the government and media have been working together to bury the story ever since.

What fascinated me the most about the incident and leads me to believe that this definitely could not have been a weather balloon is the reports of the debris and the descriptions given by rural farmers in a time and a place where these things were just unheard of! and could not have possibly been made up by any stretch of imagination.
